  • Product Description

The 2lb tension spring for Sanwa JLF replaces the existing spring found in the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, or Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, adding 1.1lb more force than the original. This results in a stiffer joystick, which is favored amongst some players who don't like the loose feel of the JLF. Using this spring, you no longer have to combine the original with a LS-32 to achieve the same level of tension.

    1. great upgrade for hyabusa stick

i ordered a hori rap 4 pro for my first arcade stick ran it in stock form for a month and didnt like the very loose feel of the stick . after swapping the spring out for a 2lb spring and a brief trip to the training room i got allot more crisp inputs and when i released the stick from an input direction it didnt rebound everywhere it went straight back to neutral position. highly recommended on Dec 9th 2019

    2. Buy this spring

I've been using this spring for a couple weeks now and can easily say it was a great decision to get this spring. The quick return to neutral helps a lot and without the stiff feeling of a 4lb spring. I paired this with a battop and would never go back to stock. Highly recommend that everyone get this. on Dec 7th 2019

    3. Better experience

So much better than the stock light tension. Your inputs are cleaner and the neutral is faster. I would suggest to order the 4lb as well because overtime 2lb can feel as not enough. I eventually settled with 4lb for Sanwa. on Nov 27th 2019

    4. A must have upgrade

The 2lb spring should be the standard. The stock spring is too soft in my opinion so I put these in every stick I have. Perfect for Sanwa jlf and Hori Hyabusa sticks. on Nov 20th 2019

    5. Much much better than stock spring

I was looking for a more comfortable and stiff feel on my stick, it felt over sensitive with stock spring. This spring is great, and it made me feel more in control , almost no drops and the movements are precise. Sanwa should really consider shipping stock sticks with this springs and not 1.2 lbs. on Nov 14th 2019

This tension spring is a bit more high tension than original spring so it's make your stick return to it position better than feather light stock spring. on Nov 5th 2019

    7. Perfect for people who don't like stock

I bought this spring simply because the stock one in my Sanwa felt too loose as I'm a mechanic and a little heavy handed, I'm going to still check out the 4lb spring but so far this one is a definite upgrade, stick bounce back quicker and it doesn't have that loose feeling the original one the stick came with did. Highly recommended on Oct 24th 2019

    8. Mandatory For Those Used To Older Arcade Machines

I grew up playing on older arcade cabinets in the US, with more stiff levers, so when I got a modern arcade stick, I found the actual stick itself to be really loose. I looked up a solution and found out about changing the spring tension by swapping it out.

After receiving my order almost a week early, I checked out a tutorial and found it surprisingly easy to install. The difference was immediately apparent, and welcome. It felt snappier and more solid than the original feeling of the old spring.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and I recommend getting one if you're even remotely curious.

    9. Great for Tekken

After years of playing on my TE2 I finally switched out the stock spring for this 2lb replacement. I mostly play Tekken now and difference is very noticeable. There doesn't seem to be a drag on certain inputs and moves that require neutral position come out more consistently. Highly recommend if you feel your stick is too loose. It feels a little too tight at first but after a week it feels pretty natural. I even ordered a 2nd one for my other stick. on Oct 11th 2019

    10. Works fine

Bought this for my Razer Panthera. Was having issues with the stick not returning to neutral as quickly as I would like. Installation was easy (can't speak to other sticks though) and made quick stick returns to neutral much more consistent for me.

Note that it does take a little bit of getting used to and is a little more tiring on the hand than a lighter spring, but that's to be expected and well worth it in my opinion.
