Foam pads are slightly porous, creating a unique texture that when scratched or rubbed, will appear lighter than the base foam color. You may notice this upon opening the packaging, or using it on a table or lap. This is normal, and will not affect its function.
A foam pad is a great choice for those who enjoy playing fighting games with an arcade stick on their lap, or on a flat surface such as a table. Now, you can get an attractive custom etch and cut for your favorite Fightstick model.
The pad is made of a synthetic rubber foam, custom cut to shape with a strong adhesive backing, and attaches to the underside of your Fightstick. Lap players will appreciate the extra padding offered here as it removes the feeling of cold steel or plastic on one's legs. Additionally, the foam is designed to add friction when moved, allowing the Fightstick to largely remain in place when playing on a tabletop.
DIY Fightsticks - ones that are built from a kit, or made yourself from scratch - come in all shapes and sizes. These rectangle-shaped adhesive foam pads are sold in pairs (2 pads) for left and right side install on our bottom panel. A six-inch (154.2mm) short pad can serve for low profile or slim height models, while 7 and 8 inch (177.8mm, 203.2mm) tall pads offer coverage for medium and large DIY projects.
Please note that the adhesive used for the foam pads is very strong, and will not allow for repositioning once applied. If you are using the RECT pads, be sure to position the pads away from any screws that you may need to access later, as the pad will cover them otherwise.

I do a lot of arcade stick builds and ended up getting a deal on a Hori Rap 4, the problem is the stick has a slick metal bottom plate with only some tiny rubber feet. Gave me occasional issues with the stick not staying in place during matches.
Got the smallest and thinnest set of these and put them on the bottom plate, haven't had any issues with the fightstick moving around, and the pads have stayed on for several months no with no indication of them going anywhere. At that level of thickness it might not have any effect if you put it on a desk or table, but for lap play it's perfect. Unknown on Nov 21st 2023
Great padding and very non slip for any type of fabric. If slippage is a problem for you, this is your solution. Mark on Sep 27th 2023
I have a Hori Rap V HS Japanese only it didn't have foam on the bottom only rubber feet. I checked off the size and mm and it was being processed easily. I got it about a week later and installing was easy and painless just peal a little apply and then peel the rest like furniture. My sitck no longer slides around on my pants even cargo pants which are very slippery have no problem staying lock on while pulling of double qcf's and charge moves.
This is a MUST buy for arcade sticks that don't have padding. Unknown on Apr 20th 2023
I like to play fighting games on my lap so I needed a grip that could help my arcade stick move around less when pulling off combos. These pads stick on superbly and offer little to no movement for the stick during intense movement/button mashing.
I'd say that these foam pads are a necessary purchase for all arcade stick owners. Unknown on Mar 20th 2022
