Sanwa is an undisputed leader in the Japanese arcade market, but that doesn't mean the company isn't inspired by community-born modifications to their celebrated joystick levers. Today, the company asks you to do just that - mod to your heart's content - with a selection of color-coded performance enhancers.
Below is a visual of available actuators for Sanwa JLF. The original JLF actuator has a 15.8mm diameter. Following this are actuators of increasing diameter. Use this to experiment with your preferred engagement sensitivity.
The Sanwa JLF P-W Actuator is 16.2mm wide at the base - just over .4mm wider than the default Sanwa actuator at 15.8mm.
This part will fit the following models
Sanwa's original restrictor plate - the GT-8F 4/8-Way Restrictor Plate - is not compatible with the newer GTN-VI, GTN-Y, GTN-B and GTN-R inserts.
For those who would like to replace their original guide on the Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8BYT-SK Higher Tension Silent Microswitch Joystick, the contact of the lead switch may shift due to the impact when the guide plate is attached, and it may not operate normally. You may want to avoid the guide tips part of the mod for that model.
The JL-C-ALL kit and associated parts was designed for authentic Sanwa JLF models. We're unable to speak for all Sanwa JLF clones on the market, or "knock-off" models that are pre-built into lower-cost Fightsticks, nor cheaper Zippy models.
