Installation requires advanced knowledge of wiring and soldering

Focusattack.com will not accept returns with the PCB with signs of soldering to the board or other modifications.  PCB feet larger than 2mm will not fit board.  It is recommended that you confirm that the latest firmware is installed on your device by visiting the Brook PS5 Device Support page, downloading the firmware update app, and following instructions in the manual.  Links to Brook device firmware update information and instructions are available in the Support tab.

The Brook Fight Board Mini scales down the technology used to play Fighting games on PS5 into a small form factor. 

Small Wonder

At just 1.58 inches square (40mm), the Brook Fighting PCBA contains all of the pinouts for an 8-button configuration, plus additional controls and indicators such as:

• Touchpad key (PS4/PS5 touchpad button emulation)
• Player (1-3) indicator LED support
• Turbo Button LED support

Each pinout is clearly marked on the PCBA for wiring. 

Native Playstation 5 Fightstick Compatibility: Important Notes

Brook gives players control of the latest generation Playstation console - the PS5.  It's important to note, however there are some limitations to this compatibility:

• PS4/PS5 compatibility is designed specifically for fighting games. It does not support left or right analog stick control.
• Some fighting games that do not have a native designation for Fightsticks may not work 
• If a game is unsupported, the PCBA may stop functioning on the game after 8 minutes.

Additional Features

• SOCD Cleaner. This removes Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions, so controller cannot register multiple directions at the same time. Leverless owners benefit from this utility. CPT Tournament compliance (Up + Down = Neutral, Left + Right = Neutral) via firmware update. See support tab for additional modes.
• Firmware upgradeable system via USB connection.  Please see "Support" tab for links to latest firmware and additional wiring information.
• No PS4 8 minute timeout reset needed (Please see notes under Native Playstation 5 Fightstick Compatibility)
• XInput Mode for PC

It is well known that with few exceptions, pad-hacking for the Playstation is a long and labored affair.  The Brook Fight Board PCBA is compact enough to fit in nearly any Fightstick or Snackbox Micro sized device.  Conveniences offered by a single integrated PCBA allow pros to fit in small spaces, and enthusiasts an opportunity to build building a teriffic custom joystick for the current generation of consoles. 

Tournament Acceptance

As of now, the Brook Super Converter and Wingman series are allowed by EVO, one of the most popular global tournament events.  Often EVO's policies are adopted at smaller tournaments. This policy is a tentative acceptance - should the converter become disabled via Sony firmware update before EVO, it could face a ban.  You can learn more about it here.
