Taiwanese company Brook - designers of the popular family of Super Converters and one of the first manufacturers whose converters managed to gain tentative acceptance by EVO - returns with the a new solution.  The Universal Fighting Board is a robust, solder-less PCBA that works with the largest variety of USB connected consoles to date.

Native Playstation 5 Fightstick Compatibility: Important Notes

Brook gives players control of the latest generation Playstation console - the PS5.  It's important to note, however there are some limitations to this compatibility:

• UFBF's PS5 compatibility is designed specifically for fighting games. It does not support left or right analog stick control.
• Some fighting games that do not have a native designation for Fightsticks may not work 
• If a game is unsupported, the UFBF may stop functioning on the game after 8 minutes.

Additional Features

• SOCD Cleaner. This removes Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions, so controller cannot register multiple directions at the same time.  HitBox owners benefit from this utility. CPT Tournament compliance (Up + Down = Neutral, Left + Right = Neutral) via firmware update.
• Firmware upgradeable system via USB connection.  Please see "Support" tab for links to latest firmware and additional wiring information.
• No PS4 8 minute timeout reset needed (Please see notes under Native Playstation 5 Fightstick Compatibility)
• XINPUT Mode for PC
• Screw terminal for solder-less connections.

The Universal Fighting Board is wrapped in a padded static-free pouch, and encased in a protective, professionally-designed box.  Software support is available for download from Brook's website.

Tournament Acceptance

As of now, the Brook Super Converter and Wingman series are allowed by EVO, one of the most popular global tournament events.  Often EVO's policies are adopted at smaller tournaments. This policy is a tentative acceptance - should the converter become disabled via Sony firmware update before EVO, it could face a ban.  You can learn more about it here.
