  • Product Description

    Brook, designers of this generation's multi-console PCBs and converters, originally released the Brook Super Converter: PS3/PS4 to Dreamcast Adapter. The Wingman SD doubles the capability of its console compatibility, now accommodates several more controller types, and most importantly for Dreamcast owners, features a 200-block memory capacity.

    Xbox/Playstation/Nintendo to Sega Control

    The Wingman SD will adapt controllers multiple consoles to the Sega Dreamcast or Sega Saturn, receiving both wired USB and wireless bluetooth, and outputting to two authentic console cables. It also features PC X-Input support via a micro USB cable output.

    200 Memory Block Capacity for Sega Dreamcast

    An early omission from the previous Brook Dreamcast Super Converter was support for dreamcast memory blocks.  A firmware update allowed that version to support 40 blocks of memory.  The Wingman now supports a significant 200 blocks of memory, which matches the Dreamcast original VMU memory size.

    Full-Featured, Firmware Upgradeable

    The Brook Super Converter has several convenient features to improve the control experience.

    • Accepts FightSticks, wired and wireless gamepads and fightsticks across Xbox and Playstation, plus bluetooth support for Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
    • Use the Brook logo button at top of device to register for wireless play.
    • Supports mapping a single or combination of buttons to a Turbo function for rapid fire play.
    • Ability to hot-swap peripherals without unplugging the device from the console.
    • Vibration and Turbo support.
    • Mappable buttons from peripheral to Dreamcast control
    • X-Input support


    In addition, the Brook Super Converter is firmware upgradeable, which can be used to improve functionality, and add new features.  Firmware updates are performed by attaching your device to a Windows PC, or Mac (when applicable). 

    Tournament Acceptance

    As of now, the Brook Super Converter and Wingman series are allowed by EVO, one of the most popular global tournament events.  Often EVO's policies are adopted at smaller tournaments. This policy is a tentative acceptance - should the converter become disabled via Sony firmware update before EVO, it could face a ban.  You can learn more about it here. new-window-icon.png

    1. Loved the first edition, and now we get 200 blocks of memory!

      Whoever came up with implementing memory blocks for this adapter is a godsend. You have no idea how much this helps me play my Dreamcast games without worrying about saves using my custom fight sticks. on Feb 8th 2021

      Brooks wingman SD multiple console SS / SD works works with all my controllers I own a lot of controllers I'm still testing controllers after the firmware update it just works I cannot believe that I can use an arcade stick on the Sega Saturn it's so awesome the first time in years Brook thank you very much Focus attack you got my back I thank you very much I will buy more thank you on Aug 22nd 2020

    3. Solid product be needs some work

      Without the firmware update this may give issues to various sega saturns and dreamcasts especially with those using GDemu's , Replacement power supplies and other mods. button remapping is very tedious and must be reconfigured between consoles especially for stick users. For pad users it shouldn't be any issue on Aug 1st 2020
