If you desire to convert an existing 5-pin based Fightstick to Hitbox, or want to use our 20-Pin Joystick/Button Harness with JLF attachment to build a Hitbox, then please choose 5-Pin HitBox Conversion Harness.
The .187" to 5-pin conversion harness allows you to install a fasten-type microswitch-based joystick - such as the Crown 303-FK, 303-N, or Sanwa JLF-TRG-8YTH.SK Silent Microswitch Joystick - to a Sanwa JLF-H type harness for use in commercial joysticks such as the Madcatz TE or QanBa Q4RAF.
Unlike the Sanwa JLF or Seimitsu LS-X-01 series joysticks which use a 5-pin harness to connect to the joystick motherboard, fasten-type joysticks uses a .187" connection for each microswitch - one for each directional control signals, and one for ground. The conversion harness allows you to convert the .187" signal and ground to the 5-pin interface of most commercial and some prebuilt custom joysticks which use the Sanwa JLF-H harness.
The Qanba Q4RAF and Eightarc Fusion or Synthesis Fightstick uses a different wiring configuration and color scheme than default Sanwa joysticks and JLF-H harness. To help you properly install the Crown 303-FK using the conversion harness, we created a handy guide. You can view it in the product photo gallery, or download a PDF version.
I use the .187 to 5-pin to hook up my Crown CWL-303N-KMS Korean Joystick. I follow the instruction on the youtube Focusattack channel step by step. I was able to get it working.
My only complaint is that its a little to short. I understand that it needs to fit around so that its not in the way of any movement. Half the time I was thinking that I was going to rip the wires in half because of how small and compact is around the joystick area. For sure its not for first timers to use this type of thing. If they make a little 1/4 or 1/2 inch long it wouldn't be too much as a hassle to hook it up. Unknown on Apr 7th 2016
The .187 connectors are slightly large, though it doesn't matter anyway because they fit snug on my Sanwa buttons. I highly recommend this product if this is what you are trying to do. Unknown on Feb 9th 2016
This harness connected my Crown 303FK lever to my Madcatz SFxTK VS Edition with no problems at all, except i believe the wire connecting the down function was a pretty tight fit which required bending one prong a bit. A great product though, and the instructional picture on this page was very helpful for installation Robert on Aug 14th 2015
I used this wiring harness when installing a Sanwa JLW joystick in a Qanba Q1 fightstick case. The wires are long enough to reach all switches without excess wire to get in the way. Works flawlessly for me. Brian on Aug 6th 2015
