For those working with low profile mechanical switches from brands like Kailh, or button caps from Haute42, pulling each part without a tool requires patience and dexterity - especially for the microswitch. This two in one switch and keycap puller tool can assist with the task of swapping switches or removing caps with less risk of breaking.
The 2-in-one switch puller contains one side for the cap, the other side for the microswitch. On the microswitch side is a two prong hook, which when squeezed together will latch onto the underside lip of the microswitch's housing. Gently pull up to release the switch from the controller's base.
The opposite side of the 2-in-one switch puller tool is a flexible wire that can extend outwards. You can use this to surround the cap's underside and pull up.
Naturally, this tool was designed for use with mechanical keyboards as well, allowing you to pull those box-style microswitches and smaller width caps with ease. Should you own a mechanical keyboard, you'll also find this tool quite useful when upgrading your switches or replacing keycaps.
