The 2lb tension spring for Sanwa JLF replaces the existing spring found in the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, or Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, adding 1.1lb more force than the original. This results in a stiffer joystick, which is favored amongst some players who don't like the loose feel of the JLF. Using this spring, you no longer have to combine the original with a LS-32 to achieve the same level of tension.

Save when bundled with Sanwa JLF, FA Nippon ALU products

Now you can save 35 cents on the 2lb JLF spring when you bundle it with the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT JoystickSanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK Joystick (No Plate Installed) or FA Nippon ALU battops.  Just choose "Add 2lb JLF Tension Spring" from listing options.

    1. Makes my JLF stronger!!

I love this spring it allows my stick to return to center a little faster imo. Normal jlf feels loose compared to my preference. on Aug 30th 2018

    2. It works

It works can’t complain on Jul 23rd 2018

    3. Love it for Hayabusa

Stock Hori RAP 4 stick is too loose. This helps give it some resistance and pull it back to neutral. on Jun 29th 2018

    4. Just a bit too much

I tried to like this thing, I really did but it's just a bit too much and I play tekken using a myoungshin fanta with the stiff 50A hardness grommet. This is even stiffer than that. I'd only recommend this if you are extremely heavy handed with your stick motions. on Jun 16th 2018

    5. 2lb Spring for Sanwa JLF

I recently upgraded to the 2lb spring in both of my Madcatz T.E.2's. I don't know how I was playing without this upgrade for so long. A must have if you play with charge characters. It is just heavy enough without being overwhelming. The installation was very easy as well. on May 22nd 2018

    6. one of the best upgrades

i love it makes my my hori rap4 feel so much more responsive with good weight. easier to dash and move on sfv and dragonball fighterz on May 7th 2018

    7. Too tall/big to fit under standard JLF actuator

Update by FA - no adjustments were made to the spring. Looking at reviews - one from April 27 shows positive gameplay in Tekken, as one of the games reported in follow up email. We will monitor any future reports.
      ---
I'm not sure if they changed the run of these springs recently because nobody else seems to have this issue, so take this review with a grain of salt. I have ordered two of these springs now and BOTH of the springs are too tall when fully compressed to fit between a stock JLF actuator and stock JLF pressure spring base. This leads to an uneven actuator (it does NOT sit flush with the pressure spring base) which causes problems with inputs. I fixed the first one I ordered by cutting one ring off but it's annoying that I would have to do this in the first place.

    8. Or tough mother

Great product and work great, feels firm and arcade perfect, not loosy goosy, a must have for arcade cabs and jlf sticks, fast shipping and professional service, thanks guys. on May 2nd 2018

    9. A MUST FOR JLF JOYSTICKS

Switched out the stock/standard spring to this and it works wonders highly reccommend this for those who prefers a stiffer feel on May 1st 2018

    10. Perfect spring for JLF sticks

I switched out my stock Hori Hayabusa for the Sanwa JLF on my Hori RAP V. The stick felt a little better, but it still wasn't to my liking, so I purchased this 2lb spring, the extended hollow shaft, circle restrictor gate, and the battop. Shoryukens now come as naturally as they did in the arcades back in the 90's. It's like I never stopped playing! on Apr 30th 2018
