The 2lb tension spring for Sanwa JLF replaces the existing spring found in the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, or Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, adding 1.1lb more force than the original. This results in a stiffer joystick, which is favored amongst some players who don't like the loose feel of the JLF. Using this spring, you no longer have to combine the original with a LS-32 to achieve the same level of tension.

Save when bundled with Sanwa JLF, FA Nippon ALU products

Now you can save 35 cents on the 2lb JLF spring when you bundle it with the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT JoystickSanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK Joystick (No Plate Installed) or FA Nippon ALU battops.  Just choose "Add 2lb JLF Tension Spring" from listing options.

    1. Must have!

The 2lb tension spring is in my opinion the perfect tension for tekken. on Dec 19th 2017

    2. Felt experimental

Tried out a friend's 4lb stick and liked the weight, but figured it was TOO much so out of curiosity I got this 2lb spring just to try out. Feels MUCH more comfortable compared to the heavier 4lb spring and the stock which is just far too light. I can't say GET THIS IT'LL FEEL GREAT as it's ultimately up to preference, but far as the product is concerned it came in pristine condition and I could install it like normal. If you wanna try a heavier spring, it'll do it's job and you can't ask much more of it. on Nov 27th 2017

    3. The only way to go

I just bought this as a throw in for my order because I've never tried additional tension and now I can't go back. It feels much more natural to me on Nov 3rd 2017

    4. Excellent

If you like to play old arcade games, this is a must buy. on Oct 24th 2017

    5. Best feel overall

4lbs is a bit much and the my whole fightstick moves around. The stock spring feels too loose. 2lbs is perfect for just the right amount of joystick resistance. Helps me to control my moves a lot more. on Oct 23rd 2017

    6. The 2-pound spring

With this spring you achieve a greater precision and to the touch being harder you achieve more precise sensations in the game. for me iimprescindible since the Japanese controls are too soft on Oct 18th 2017

    7. Huge improvement for the stock Sanwa

These springs are great - they make a big improvement to the stock joystick and are very easy to fit. Super pleased I took the plunge an made the change - Ill be adding these springs to all my sticks going forward. on Oct 11th 2017

    8. Feels Great!!

I bought both the 4lb and 2lb spring. While the 4lb feels good, sometimes I noticed I was moving the whole fightstick. 2lbs was perfect for tighter feel and not moving the fightstick all over the place. Buying more for the rest of my fightsticks. on Oct 8th 2017

    9. Excellent and cheap mod for a bit more tension

I bought this off a suggestion when I asked about how best to get a stick to return to neutral or "snap back" a bit more and have a bit more resistance, and this really fit the bill. Excellent choice in a mod that won't break the bank yet really helps me out. on Sep 27th 2017

    10. Adds a very nice amount of resistance.

This spring was a breeze to install, and with it, it helped improve my joystick movement and awareness while making my inputs tighter. Would recommend to anyone who's joystick is too loose. on Jul 30th 2017
