The 4lb tension spring for Sanwa JLF replaces the existing spring found in the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, or Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, now adding 3.2lb more force than the original. This model is designed towards those looking for an incredibly high-tension feel, which is favored amongst some players who don't like the loose feel of the JLF.
Now you can save 35 cents on the 4lb JLF spring when you bundle it with the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK Joystick (No Plate Installed) or FA Nippon ALU battops. Just choose "Add 4lb JLF Tension Spring" from listing options.
Installed on a hayabusa stick (Hori Rap V), is a great spring but 4lbs is too much for a normal fightstick (~2.2 Kg), maybe work fine in an arcade machine or more heavy size fightstick. Carlos on Aug 29th 2019
I recently had an Arcade1up game room party with family and friends and found out afterward that people are a little hard on joysticks when they are drinking! They popped my joystick out of the restrictor plate on the Arcade1up Pac Man game. Enter the 4lb joystick springs from Focus Attack to the rescue. Installed these (very easily) and have not had a problem since. The joystick springs that ship from Arcade1up are way too lose (I'm guessing 1lb springs). I have read that some do not like the tension on the 4lb springs, but I think only very small children or people with carpal tunnel issues would have trouble with this amount of tension. The 4lb springs seem like solid arcade quality once you install them. If you want to protect your joystick from breaking, use the 4lb joystick springs and you will never look back! Obviously this is more of a personal preference thing but I found the 4lb to be a bit too tense for my liking, really giving my wrists a workout here trying to do basic movements.
I've since replaced it with a 2lb spring and now it feels just right. To each their own I guess. Unknown on Aug 22nd 2019
Ordered these 4 lb tension springs for my arcade 1 up machine. And I am real happy with my purchase.I highly recommend these springs for your machine. Anthony on Aug 19th 2019
Awesome product! A must do for all arcade 1up cabinets. Especially the fighting game cabinets if you play them often. Gives the cabinets a true arcade machine feel... Unknown on Aug 15th 2019
This spring is a monster, I recommend not using this if you have weak hands, fingers whatnot. This thing is very hard to use but it also gives a huge benefit, faster to neutral...
I’d rather have the 2lbs spring because it’s much more less of a tension. JustOTGFrames on Aug 9th 2019
I bought these 4 lb. springs to add to my existing joysticks and the upgrade was immediately noticeable. Highly recommended! The other thing that was amazing was the lighting fast way these items arrived. As soon as I ordered, Focus Attack had them out the door to me the same day! Jason Price on Jul 30th 2019
Moding my Arcade 1up and have recently added sanwa joysticks. Added the spring to give it more of a arcade feel to the joystick, also I'm very hard on the sticks so I'm better off adding stronger springs. Very simple to install. Unknown on Jul 29th 2019
The spring that I purchased to upgrade my arcade 1up Machine was a great move!!! I recommend anyone who has an arcade 1 up machine to purchase the springs to upgrade your machine ... definitely improve gameplay !!! Highly recommend it !!!! Coach Z on Jul 29th 2019
I love the tension. I no longer mess up my inputs when trying to DP. This is also a great spring for Tekken because the stick returns to neutral faster. Paired with the Kowal Actuator, your inputs will be more precise. While I personally like this spring, I recommend buying a 2lb spring as well, because this spring may be too tense for some people.
