The 4lb tension spring for Sanwa JLF replaces the existing spring found in the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, or Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, now adding 3.2lb more force than the original. This model is designed towards those looking for an incredibly high-tension feel, which is favored amongst some players who don't like the loose feel of the JLF.
Now you can save 35 cents on the 4lb JLF spring when you bundle it with the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK Joystick (No Plate Installed) or FA Nippon ALU battops. Just choose "Add 4lb JLF Tension Spring" from listing options.
My original Sanwa springs felt very loose compared to what I was used to for an arcade stick. Picked up a pair of 4 pound springs and the tension feels much better! Unknown on Jul 23rd 2019
These 4 pound springs worked out wonderfully. Highly recommend if you mod to pick these up. Michael Hostetler on Jul 17th 2019
I've had these new 4lb springs installed for about 3 weeks and the joysticks on the 1up arcade are now much better! Compared to the lighter springs the 1up Arcade came with, the new 4lb springs gives the 1up arcade stock joysticks a stiffer control. For me, it does make it easier to excute character moves and for the amount of money and easy installation, it's worth it! Unknown on Jul 8th 2019
joystick is much better now.. the stock springs were trash.

I'm really enjoying the spring for Dragon Ball fighterz, it allows me to dash forward and back more accurately than using the Standard jlf Spring. It's heavy and hard to use at first, but it's also a very satisfying workout. It makes building that muscle memory easier. This is probably the best way to train yourself for more accurate inputs. Then after switch down to a 2 lb spring.
I definitely recommend grabbing it along with the 2 lb spring. Unknown on May 28th 2019
I used this to replace the stock 2lb spring in my Hori Hayabusa stick, and it made a huge difference. If you are replacing the ball of your stick for a battpop knob I suggest you get one of these. It may feel too firm for some at first but I am sure it will loosen over time. Personally I am rough on my arcade stick so I am really happy I got this heavier spring. Isaac on May 3rd 2019
My only issue with Sanwa stick are they are too loose. The 4 lb. Spring helps fix that problem. Thanks FA! Unknown on Apr 18th 2019
Spring is solid and feels good but I found it to be too stiff to use all of the time. An unexpected use I found for this spring is after a few days of use before switching back to a two pound spring, the four pound spring trained my wrist to use the two pound spring with more control. Feels great. Unknown on Aug 30th 2018
Update from FA:
We have never received reports from customers stating that the 4b spring - which is the stiffest spring on offer - losing tension after just 10 days of use. Please contact support@focusattack.com and if possible, provide a video of the movement from direction to center, letting the lever go so we can see movement.

I coupled this 4lb with a stick jlf, it works very well, however after 10 days of play, the spring had lost all its tension. romain m on May 9th 2018
