2. A must-get for RAP 4s

   I love tactile feel when using things—that's why I use a mechanical keyboard. Knowing when the stick is activating the next direction is immensely helpful since I find the switches are easier to acknowledge by sound than feel, which doesn't really help with a square gate. This gate gives a very since, subtle pocket to each direction which makes it really easy to know exactly which direction the stick is activating. Unknown on Jan 5th 2017

3. Using a square? Try this instead!

   I've only ever used sticks with square gates before, but having my first try with an octagonal gate is simply great! You can really feel the diagonal inputs and the build quality is good as well! Xyn K. on Dec 17th 2016

4. If you own the original, get the updated one

   Being an owner of the original octopus gate I noticed the improvement over the stock square gate of the Hayabusa. My only main concern about the original is the shairp edges from the acrylic material. Now that they switch to nylon, the octogate is now improved in regards to how qcfs and shoryuken motions are performed. Also, I noticed that while fooling around in Teeken Tag Tournament 2 I can do the Korean Back Dash Cancels much better than the stock seimitsu octogate on my ls-62. This is a must have for Hayabusa owners. Unknown on Dec 15th 2016

5. An octagon gate that still feels like a square (Skullgirls)

   I love square gates because of the feel of each diagonal direction. There no questions when you are making that input, and I prefer that feeling of the throw. The Kowal Octagonal gate keeps that feel, and gives the cardinal directions the same kind of physical characteristic.
   
   Having that feeling of "OK, I know I'm holding back after quickly switching from down-back to block the mix-up" is confidence inspiring for me. This was an issue I was having trouble with. A product won't make you a better player. It's only a tool. It's how you use the tool that makes the difference, and it's has been a big help for me.
   
   I have used other sticks with octagons gates, but I personally found them to be...too restrictive. Yes, that's the point of making this type of change. However, I did not like the extremely short range of movement. This product is a great compramise between a square and octagon gate, and makes an already precise stick feel even more so. 6. 2016 model trumps older version

   First of all this is a god send from Kowal. The original was good but the 2016 model is what it should've been from jump street. The first thing I noticed was that the diagonals feel like a square gate. With the original Octopus, I would have trouble finding my diagonals in the heat of battle. Also it accommodates the oversized actuator from the JLF. This one thing I was looking forward to when I heard about the new 2016 model. This is a must buy if you own a Hori Hayabusa joystick. 7. Major Improvement! Highly recommended!
