The SANWA JLF-P1-S mounting plate has curves for lower or higher placement of the mounting screws or bolts. This makes bottom-mounting in a wood panel more viable as the joystick can be installed in a thicker panel. The S-plate is turned over so the joystick can be installed at a distance from a thin panel. If you need to install the plate onto your JLF joystick, you can add the Sanwa JLF-SS-Kit to your order.
This works well if you're mounting your joystick in material 5/8" (16mm) or thicker. I have some slight reservations about it only having two mounting screws instead of four but in my installation it seems secure enoughErika
