  • Product Description

For many years before the newer and technically upgraded SANWA JLX-TP-8YT Joystick, Sanwa's premiere joystick was considered the de-facto standard in most Japanese arcade setups, and widely adopted in most commercial joysticks.  Works with a wide array of Sanwa balltops, battops and Seimitsu balltops, including the Seimitsu LB-39 Bubbletop, Sanwa LB-35 Balltop, and Sanwa LB-30 N-S Battop.

The Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick comes fully assembled with Sanwa TP-MA PCB Assembly, JLF-P1 Mounting Plate, and dual dustwashers.

    What's Included?

    1. The best.

The best of the best... if you are really into fighting games you need one of these 100%, it has a nice balance between tension and speed.

The sanwa JLF joystick is the best out of the box,so much better than my stock Hori Hayabusa wich was I little too loose for me, but the hayabusa improves a lot paired with the kowal 1mm oversized actuator now it feels just as good as the Sanwa JLF.

    2. Very Happy!!!

Can't complain. Fast shipping and everything arrived perfectly packaged. Installed this in my custom arcade cabinet and what a difference it made compared to my old setup. Thanks Focus Attack for quality product and services! on Feb 12th 2019

    3. Works great in an 8bitdo stick with some minor wiring

I bought one of these to put in my 8bitdo N30 arcade stick to replace the knockoff Sanwa stick in it, that was already starting to wear out after a couple months of use. The N30 is basically a Mayflash F300 clone, but the PCB replaces the Sanwa 5-pin connector with the Bluetooth module, so some creativity is required to wire this stick up. The quick and dirty solution I used was to twist signal wires from the PCB to the matching wires on the included 5-pin cable and cover the twists with electrical tape, and doing the same with all the ground wires. It works, but it's ugly. A more permanent solution will be crimping and attaching quick disconnects.

Overall the stick feels much better and more responsive than the stick originally in the N30. I also matched mine with the 2 lb spring, and I like the extra stiffness of the stick using it. Highly recommended, and is a great way to turn a cheapo stick like a Mayflash or 8bitdo into something much greater.

    4. Legendary!

I installed this on my Hori Real Arcade Pro N Fightstick w/ a 2lb spring and octagonal gate. The stick is very accurate and stiff with the spring upgrade. I bought this mainly because I play DBZF and the Hayabusa stick with the octagonal gate was just too slippery especially on any up forward movements. I would frequently miss IAD on DBZF because the stick couldn't neutral well and the octogonal gate wasn't sharp enough. With the new stick, gate and spring, the inputs are very accurate and the stiffness of the stick gives me a nice solid feel.

    5. Rock Solid Joystick

Equipped with the octagonal restrictor plate, this is the standard joystick in the Super 78, Super Twin 78, Super CV, and Super Arcade Controller Plus at Edladdin Controllers. Very happy with these in every regard. on Sep 27th 2018

    6. Gold standard of arcade sticks

I bought this for my arcade stick. Feels great, no accidental inputs from opposite direction. Easy to install. Solid construction, and a worthy investment for any fighting stick. Would buy again. on Sep 22nd 2018

    7. Great Stick

This stick has a greater throw and easier push than an LS-32. Upon arrival, the PCB assembly included had all 4 squeaky switches, so a minor issue which could be fixed with a little lubricant. Overall, my favorite stick to use for games like Tetris! on Sep 10th 2018

    8. Perfect for an Upgrade

This is perfect for upgrading an existing fightstick, or are looking to build a custom stick with an easy to use mounting plate. Upgrading to the Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Gate for easier Quarter Circles, or if you like to have notches for each step of movement! on Sep 3rd 2018

    9. Works great.

Ordered the joystick and it came in about 3 days. Easy to install and works like a charm. on Aug 24th 2018

    10. Tight Actuation, Light Spring, Excellent Quality

The actuator activates the switches with almost no movement. The switches themselves feel nice and tight. Very little bouncing with a stock balltop, some bounceback with the stock spring and a 45mm balltop. on Aug 20th 2018
