  • Product Description

For many years before the newer and technically upgraded SANWA JLX-TP-8YT Joystick, Sanwa's premiere joystick was considered the de-facto standard in most Japanese arcade setups, and widely adopted in most commercial joysticks.  Works with a wide array of Sanwa balltops, battops and Seimitsu balltops, including the Seimitsu LB-39 Bubbletop, Sanwa LB-35 Balltop, and Sanwa LB-30 N-S Battop.

The Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick comes fully assembled with Sanwa TP-MA PCB Assembly, JLF-P1 Mounting Plate, and dual dustwashers.

    1. High Quality, High Accuracy Joystick

Equipped with the octagonal restrictor plate, the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick is the standard joystick in all Super 78, Super Twin 78, Super CV, and Super Arcade controllers. We've installed literally hundreds of them and never had a complaint or a problem. The quick-disconnect harness makes wiring a snap, while the threaded shaft invites endless knob customization. Also enjoyed every transaction with the Focus Attack team. Very grateful to have them as collaborators.

    2. It's the Standard for Joysticks

The standard is not a bad thing. By that I mean that this joystick is perfect for almost any setup. If I'm not mistaken, the majority of fightsticks bough already assembled come with this. Easy to mod as well. I use a 2lb spring for added resistance in the stick and I installed the octagonal gate. I really like the feel. If this is your first build, or even if you consistently build fightsticks, I highly recommend it. on Oct 9th 2017

    3. Arrived with a bent pin

One of the 5 pins that connects to the harness was bent out of shape. It took me a while to re-adjust it back since it couldn't fit into the 5-pin harness. I had to use a toothpick that bent the pin to its intended position, insert the harness half-way and take the toothpick out. Seeing how stiff it was, I can only assume it was accidentally manufactured this way.

The stick itself is great - responsive and fast. A loud and satisfying clicking sound can be heard when using it.

    4. only stick i ever use

easy to mod, best stick out there on Jul 20th 2017

    5. The Go-To Solution!

There's always more than a few good reasons why this product is reliable and commonly used! on Jun 22nd 2017

    6. A great stick, but be warned...

An amazing stick, but the mounting plate is glued on! The screws in the photo make you think it's removable, but it's glued on :( on Apr 16th 2017

    7. Most trusted joystick

I love using Sanwa's on each of my builds. They never disappoint. Always sturdy and reliable. on Mar 2nd 2017

    8. Responsive w/ Perfect Dead Zone

I've put some miles on this now and thought I'd review. The spring is not too heavy and the dead zone, or neutral movement without input, is smaller than most sticks I've played with, but still present. I like this because the direction inputs are sure to be deliberate, but I'm also not missing inputs.

It resets to neutral very quickly which I was a bit concerned about given the light resistance of the spring. Feels great!

    9. Good Product

I needed to get a replacement for my other joystick and this did the job and so easy to install. on Dec 2nd 2016

    10. Ridiculously Smooth

Up until I built my Japanese arcade controller I had only ever played with Suzo Happ joysticks (which I love)

In comparison to a Suzo Happ this stick is ridiculously smooth and has such a short throw it took some time to get use to it.

      I definitely recommend his product.
