For many years before the newer and technically upgraded SANWA JLX-TP-8YT Joystick, Sanwa's premiere joystick was considered the de-facto standard in most Japanese arcade setups, and widely adopted in most commercial joysticks.  Works with a wide array of Sanwa balltops, battops and Seimitsu balltops, including the Seimitsu LB-39 Bubbletop, Sanwa LB-35 Balltop, and Sanwa LB-30 N-S Battop.

The Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick comes fully assembled with Sanwa TP-MA PCB Assembly, JLF-P1 Mounting Plate, and dual dustwashers.

    1. Ridiculously Smooth

Up until I built my Japanese arcade controller I had only ever played with Suzo Happ joysticks (which I love)

In comparison to a Suzo Happ this stick is ridiculously smooth and has such a short throw it took some time to get use to it.

      I definitely recommend his product.

    2. My goto stick

I use JLFs in all my cabs. Love the octo even tho fgc has hard-on for stock square gates. Having all my machines using same hardware makes it easy to do on-site repairs. on Jul 29th 2016

    3. The standard that all joysticks should aspire to

I've been playing on stick for a good majority of my life, mostly at arcades. The long life of this stick is the main reason why I always prefer sanwa parts in my fightstick on Jul 16th 2016

    4. Easy Install

Works like a charm, going to order another for sure. on May 24th 2016

    5. Perfect performance and a workhorse!

I have used this is in my main build for 7 years and so far the only thing I have worn down is the spring. I ordered a new spring and decided to step it up to a 2lb spring and it is better than new!

Consider ordering the octoganal gate if you are playing fighters. as well as the beefier 2lb spring.

    6. Amazing

This is a good item to purchase and use if you are going to build a fight stick on Apr 3rd 2016

    7. Fighting Mac-Daddy

The Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT joystick is a great fighting stick for any home cabinet! With lightning quick responce micro switches, it feeds and sounds like the arcades of yester-year. Great value and great product! on Feb 25th 2016

    8. Perfect

The joystick feels great. I much prefer this to the silent one due to the audible clicks. You can tell that you're hitting the right direction. It bounces back perfectly, and it delivers that authentic arcade experience. on Jan 14th 2016

    9. Big Improvement

I was looking for an upgrade for my Qanba Q1 and I've always heard that Sanwa is the way to go. I've had about two months with the JLF and it took sometime getting use to because it has a shorter throw distance compared to the stock Qanba, but once I've got over it the motions were almost effortless. Its nice that they include a wiring harness but it was already compatible to the existing setup so I can use it for some future project. Small complaint though; the cam was over-lubed so it would stick sometimes but its an easy fix. Fair price and apparent quality, definitely satisfied. on Dec 12th 2015

    10. GOOD PRODUCT

EXCELLENT STICK on Nov 23rd 2015
