    Important Note

    • This restrictor plate is ONLY compatible with the older, Panasonic microswitch PCB assembly.
    • More recent models of LS-56 have a BLACK restrictor plate, and are NOT compatible with this product.
    • If you never swapped out the PCB assembly in your LS model, then the model with white square restrictor plate should have the Panasonic microswitch.
    • If you have swapped the PCB assembly recently, Omron switches require a different plate.
    • We are planning to stock the BLACK OMRON restrictor plate in the near future.

If you're looking to go full Seimitsu but need the smooth circular motion of Sanwa's GTY restrictor plate, you're in luck.  The LS-56 Octagonal Restrictor Plate is compatible with the following Seimitsu joystick models:

    • LS-62-01 (comes pre-installed, drop-in replacement)
    • LS-60, LS-60-01
    • LS-58, LS-58-01
    • LS-56, LS-56-01
    • LS-55-01
    • LS-33

    1. Looking forward to using this soon

I'm still waiting on a couple of parts before I can use it, but it comes highly recommended to use an octagonal restrictor plate over the square gate.

No stars actually :D I haven't had the chance to try it out yet!

    4. Great drop in replacement for the square restrictor plate

I'm old school, which means I grew up using a circle restriction joystick, not square. As I was making my own fightstick I was noticing that many joysticks that have circle restrictors had problems with the diagonal direction, which is necessary for fighting games. Finally, I tried this octo restrictor plate and noticed that the diagonal directions were the same as the square diagonal. Ok, so then I wanted to use a cone grinder to sand it circular. My concern was the n,s,e,w directions going too far and hitting the switch cases underneath the plate. I'm happy to say that this plate makes a great circular restrictor after careful sanding. The diagonals are easy to reach. After a year of using a square I now have to retrain on a circle, but I'm very happy with this. on Jul 8th 2019

    5. Perfect replacement for old Hori sticks

I bought a ls-60 with one of this octagonal restrictors and swap the original stick for it but I found out that it fits the old stick like a glove so instead of changing the stick I just had to change the restrictor and the spring, great quality and feels great for all my needs. on Jun 19th 2019

    6. Butter

Easy swap from the square gate, the most ride-able gate. Throw those dragon punches, or blow something up (in space) on May 4th 2018

    7. Great, smooth movement.

I got this with my LS-56 as I prefer octagonal plates to square plates. The stick glides along this gate so smooth, and the octagonal shape makes most movements easier and feel natural to perform. Highly recommended if you like octagonal plates. on Aug 7th 2017

    8. A must-have for shmups

With the square gate, I was having trouble accidentally going diagonal too often. Having the ability to feel out exactly where your eight directions are is more helpful than expected, even if you don't always ride the gate. Feeling those notches helps you to "get your bearings". on Mar 14th 2017

    9. Does what it's supposed to do

Don't really have much else to say. For fighting games i prefer being able to really feel out those corners, but for other genres the octo feels very nice. on Nov 14th 2016

    10. Best octo guide ever

If you are looking for more precision, this a must to have on Sep 21st 2016
