This spring is used for a Seimitsu LS-58 joystick, and is known for offering a softer, looser feel than the LS-56/56-01 series joystick spring. This spring is compatible with the LS-56 and LS-58 series joysticks.
Most springs will threaten to make your stick's parts fly everywhere if the e-ring is removed, but not this one! I put this into my LS 56 years ago, and it was comfortable for shoot-em-up games. The softer feels allows for really gentle movements. Now, I mostly play fighting games, and not having a real spring inside made a lot of motions that require returning to neutral quickly - like double taps - a lot easier to fumble! This spring is also priced pretty high. You can get some the same size in a set of springs for around 2 cents each...
Overall, I wouldn't actually recommend this spring to anyone. It can be nice for different genres besides fighting games, and there is the possibility it works better in a stick with a longer shaft. It is nice that there is a lower tension spring option. Last I saw though, Focus Attack doesn't actually sell the LS 58, so you should probably just avoid this altogether. Stef on Sep 29th 2021
